Fund Awards 2013

Sponsor

Welcome

The Investors Chronicle Funds Awards are designed to give public recognition to those Fund managers and exchange-traded product (ETP) providers offering excellent performance, exceptional transparency and good value for money.

We introduced these Awards in 2012 to celebrate the best Funds in the UK based on objective performance criteria. From investment trusts, open-ended funds to exchange traded funds (ETFs) and exchange traded commodities (ETCs), every category will be covered. Winners of the 2013 Awards will be announced to 100 industry professionals, fund managers and investment trust managers at the Financial Times building on Friday 15 March.

Actively managed funds will be judged based on performance and value to investors. We will shortlist funds for each category based on points score of performance record over several periods and length of tenure of manager. However, as investors in funds are investing for the long term, we will give most emphasis to the five year performance record.

Additional points will be awarded for low costs – we will emphasise the costs element as a way of differentiating ourselves from other fund awards which are based purely on performance. There will also be some qualitative points awarded for quality of fund literature, transparency and communication.
